Narrative:
The CF-100, operated by the Central Experimental and Proving Establishment, had just taken off from the Uplands air base when it crashed near Navan, Ontario, killing the flight crew, F/L J.R. Curtis and F/O J.P. Berrigan. The aircraft had been used for the test program of the Velvet glove missile.
